A passion for masterful construction has been the driving force for Joey from the very beginning. He proudly follows in the footsteps of his father, Tony Thomsen, continuing a multi-generational family legacy of quality craftsmanship. This heritage, combined with Joey's own extensive experience, is passionately applied to creating architecturally designed homes that reflect the unique lifestyle of the beautiful Sunshine Coast and Hinterlands. It's a commitment to quality validated by multiple industry awards, including the Master Builders President's Award.

As Project Manager and the Guardian of the Science, Jeff brings over 15 years of experience to the custom building journey. Throughout his career, he recognised a common frustration that often leads to heartbreaking outcomes: beautiful designs that never begin due to budget uncertainty, or unique visions that are built with their defining qualities compromised to fit a misaligned budget.
In response to this industry-wide issue, he developed the ‘Vision-Led Costing’ process at Joey Thomsen Homes. Operating on the simple principle that a brilliant design and a disciplined budget should never be in conflict, his approach begins at the earliest stages of planning. Through deep collaboration with clients and designers, he integrates cost modelling as a creative part of the design dialogue, protecting the vision and budget from the very start.

Once construction begins, Jeff’s hands-on oversight guides the project to completion. He coordinates every trade and supplier, manages the timeline and budget, and partners with Joey to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship. It is this start-to-finish management that transforms a unique vision into a beautifully built home, delivered on time, on budget, and without compromise.
